The Community Involvement Fair includes 25 local non-profit organizations and directly follows the Celebration event.
- Connects people with local organizations (nonprofits, advocacy groups, service agencies, schools, and faith-based groups) that need volunteers and support.
- Promotes service and activism as a way of carrying forward Dr. King’s vision of justice, equality, and community uplift.
- Educates the community about available resources, programs, and opportunities to participate in positive social change.
- Transforms the holiday into “a day on, not a day off,” in line with the national MLK Day of Service initiative.
Groups can apply to join in by completing the fillable Solicitation form and emailing it to [email protected] and making your donations online, or mailing the form with your check to Martin Luther King, Jr. Westside Coalition, 1014 Broadway, Santa Monica, CA 90401. Donations can also be made via PayPal or via Zelle to [email protected].
