Dr. Bernice Brown brings a prolific history of leadership, management, training, and education to the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Westside Coalition. A passionate advocate for community engagement and youth empowerment, she joined the Coalition in 2020 as the Education Awards Chair, where she spearheaded the Youth Committee with vision and purpose. Her commitment to service and excellence quickly earned her the respect of fellow board members. In 2024, she was elected Chair of the Coalition following a nomination by the founder, Mr. Nathaniel Trives. Dr. Brown remains deeply committed to advancing the legacy of Dr. King by inspiring and raising the next generation of leaders.
